We want to take a moment to share an update on the progress we’ve made in strengthening our commitment to the safety and well-being of children within our fellowship.

In line with the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and with guidance from our advisory group, we’ve continued to take important steps toward creating a safe and accountable environment:

  • All workers in NSW have a current Working With Children Check and have completed MinistrySafe child safety training, which includes an assessment to ensure understanding. This training is renewed every two years to keep knowledge up to date.

  • We have implemented a Code of Conduct, approved by ChildSafe Australia.

  • We are working closely with an external party to review and finalise a clear and consistent process for handling allegations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and care for all involved.

We’re grateful for your continued support as we work together to build a safe fellowship.

The A.C.T. is included in the areas in which the N.S.W workers also work.

This means that the laws of the A.C.T will be relevant also.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

During April, MinistrySafe are making a number of FREE resources available to help prevent child abuse.
