South Australia

South Australia is dedicated to the safety of children

Recommendations from the Royal Commission will govern our path.

Advice from the advisory group will be implemented.

With an external party we are reviewing and getting ready a process for handling allegations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and care for those involved.

This page will be updated with documentation in the near future.

Northern Territory

South Australia workers often work in the Northern Territory and will be governed by the local laws in the area.

All workers in South Australia have completed the MinistrySafe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training program, which is designed to equip those who participate with the knowledge to identify, and respond to child sexual abuse.

To ensure competency at the completion of the training a pass on an examination is required.

To maintain their certification, a renewal is completed every 2 years, ensuring that the training remains up-to-date and effective.

MinistrySafe Sexual Abuse Awareness Training program

Stop It Now! Australia is a child sexual abuse prevention program which works with adults concerned about their own, or someone else’s sexual thoughts or behaviours towards children.

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse identified a gap in preventative interventions for potential perpetrators.

Stop It Now! was highlighted as a potential model to adopt in the National Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Strategy and this has been reflected in the Strategy released in September 2021.

Stop it now! Australia

Due to Stop It Now! Australia being in its pilot phase, they accept calls or chats from individuals residing in South Australia but not from New South Wales. They apologise for any inconvenience caused, and will continue to explore the expansion of thier service
